Dull pain, which makes normal activities more difficult, significantly reduces the quality of life. In older people, pain in the knees, hip joints, or finger joints occurs very often, unfortunately, joint pain is not selective, and that is why it troubles not only the older generation, but also younger people. At a young age, joint pain can be an accompanying sign of overload or excessive exercise, but, of course, also of an incipient disease. However, the good news is that joint pain can be reduced or completely eliminated. It is enough to make a few small changes in your daily routine.

Why do joints hurt?

All of us have joint pain from time to time, but as long as it is nothing serious and you know the cause (overload, injury), there is no need to stress. This type of occasional pain does not represent any serious condition and the pain usually subsides without consequences. For example, an ice pack will provide relief from joint pain after injuries.

However, if these difficulties persist for a longer period of time and prevent you from carrying out normal daily activities carelessly, there is a problem. Most of the time, we encounter the fact that it is not only one joint that hurts in isolation, but it is a multiple pain, which is really unpleasant. The so-called shooting or radiating pain is also a frequent accompanying phenomenon of joint pain. This means that if your hip joint hurts, for example, you can feel the pain in your knee.

There are countless reasons why joints hurt. However, here are the most common causes:

  • Ongoing infection in the body

If the body is fighting an infection as a result of a virus or flu, it is possible that it will be accompanied by joint pain throughout the body. This pain usually subsides within a few days after the infection is cleared.

  • Hormonal changes in the body

Women are especially prone to joint pain during menopause and pregnancy, when there are significant hormonal changes. For example, pregnant women should be especially careful in the third trimester, when the action of hormones causes the ligament to loosen as a result of preparation for childbirth.

  • Arthritis

Arthritis is generally characterized by the presence of inflammation that leads to disruption of the joint structure. This is manifested by pain, difficulty in movement and stiffness. However, there are several types of arthritis that differ from each other in how they arise.

  • Osteoarthritis (arthrosis) is a joint disease caused by gradual wear and tear of cartilage.
  • Rheumatoid arthritis is a very common serious joint disease that affects all age groups, with pre-menopausal women most at risk. This disease is also characterized by the presence of inflammation, which, however, is initiated and maintained by autoimmune mechanisms. The course of rheumatoid arthritis is progressive and often leads to disability. Steroid and non-steroidal medications are commonly used for treatment in order to reduce inflammation. However, according to scientists, there is also a completely natural and miraculous solution to these unpleasant difficulties.

Scientists have found that the miraculous Boswellia serrata is effective in reducing inflammation in the joints, and can thus relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.

According to a 2003 Indian study, boswellic acids significantly improve joint mobility and reduce joint pain and swelling. In a similar study, other scientists tested the effects of boswellic acids in the treatment of arthritis. 175 patients participated in the study, and more than 75% of the participants confirmed the positive effects and improvement of the condition when using boswellic acids.

The Arthritis Foundation even recommends supplementing with boswellic acids through nutritional supplements as a potential treatment for rheumatoid arthritis as well as osteoarthritis.

A natural nutritional supplement produced directly in Slovakia, Boswellia serrata from the Kompava company, contains more than 85% of boswellic acids obtained from the resin of the Boswellia serrata tree. These active ingredients are also enriched with black pepper extract for maximum absorbability and effectiveness of boswellic acids. The combination of these substances thus represents a perfect combination for the support of the musculoskeletal system and the proper functioning of the joints.

  • DNA

This disease is caused by ongoing inflammation in one or several joints at the same time. It is characterized by intense pain that makes it impossible to perform usual activities.

  • Joint overload due to excessive physical activity

  • Being overweight

How to take care of joints?

Many people mistakenly consider problems with the musculoskeletal system to be a natural manifestation of aging. However, the development of joint and skeletal diseases is not only influenced by heredity, but also by obesity, poor diet or a sedentary lifestyle.

  • Healthy diet

A menu full of vitamins and minerals for the health of the musculoskeletal system is the key to success. Experts recommend including Mediterranean foods, which have an anti-inflammatory effect, in your diet. They also recommend consuming more fish oil, which is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. The basis of the diet should be fruits and vegetables, especially cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, kale), which contain a large amount of antioxidants, vitamins and fiber. It is also recommended to include dairy products in the diet, which, thanks to their high calcium content, contribute to maintaining a healthy musculoskeletal system. Limit foods made from white flour, with a high sugar content and also industrially processed semi-finished products.

  1. Effective nutrition for the musculoskeletal system

The most common joint diseases in Slovakia include rheumatism, arthritis and arthrosis, while bone diseases are dominated by osteoporosis. If the disease is not treated, it leads to more frequent and longer hospital stays and even permanent disability. Here too, early prevention helps to slow down or stop the development of the disease.

On the plus side, the market currently offers a decent selection of supplements in the category of joint nutrition, which have the task of protecting and nourishing bones, joints, ligaments and tendons. Regular use of joint nutrition will help you maintain a healthy musculoskeletal system, which can prevent premature wear and tear or injuries associated with excessive stress on the joints.

Of course, even in the category of nutritional supplements for joint strengthening, you can find really high-quality products, but unfortunately, also products that do not contain any of the active substances or do not provide enough of them.

Joint nutrition can be taken in loose, capsule or tablet form. It is generally known that the use of loose forms of all supplements, including joint nutrition, is somewhat better and more effective, as it has faster absorption.

However, the powder form of joint nutrition stands out among other forms not only because of the absorbability mentioned above, but also because, thanks to the various flavors, it allows us to prepare a tasty and refreshing drink that nourishes the joints, but does not burden the stomach. Furthermore, in addition to the form, it is very important to check the content of the active substances of the given product when buying.

The biggest difference in joint nutrition is mainly in the collagen content. Low collagen content leads to reduced efficiency. Effective joint nutrition should contain at least 8-10 g of collagen in one dose.

Such joint nutrition is complex joint nutrition in the form of a refreshing drink Gelo-3 Complex. It is available in 4 great flavors, is gluten- and lactose-free, and is suitable for diabetics and children from 8 years of age. It is suitable not only for people who suffer from joint pain, but it is also an effective prevention for those who put excessive strain on the joints, which means that it is the right choice for every active person, athlete or hard worker.

Gelo-3 Complex contains up to 8 g of collagen in one dose. The collagen in this joint nutrition is also in the form of collagen peptides, so it is a much more absorbable and effective form than standard collagen. Gelo-3 Complex also contains other active substances for support and regeneration of the musculoskeletal system, namely glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate, calcium and magnesium, vitamin C, E and group B vitamins.

Positive effect of collagen in reducing joint pain

Musculoskeletal pain is the reason for every third to fourth visit of a patient to a general practitioner. However, researchers from the University of Freiburg published a study in which they confirmed the beneficial effects of collagen in reducing joint pain when taking 5g of collagen/day, and therefore the regular use of nutritional supplements containing collagen appears to be a potential solution for joint pain relief.

Tip: If you want to quickly replenish collagen in your joints and at the same time enjoy a delicious treat that will not harm your line, we recommend reaching for Joint Bar collagen bars. These tasty bars are available in 3 flavours, mango with crunchy fruit pieces, delicious coconut or chocolate-banana and provide up to 6g of collagen peptides in one bar.

Other miracle substances for carefree movement

  • Glucosamine sulfate is a substance from which the body creates the structural components of articular cartilage. The amount of glucosamine produced in the body decreases with age. As a result, the cartilage loses its ability to behave elastically and absorb shocks. In the affected joints, there is considerable damage to the cartilage, followed by stiffness, pain, deformation and limitation of movement in the joints. Supplying glucosamine to the body protects and regenerates joint surfaces and also has significant anti-inflammatory effects.
  • Chondroitin sulfate protects joints from damage by stimulating the production of the main components of articular cartilage, attracting and binding water.
  • MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a source of organically bound sulfur. Insufficient levels of biosulfur in the body can lead to the inability of the body to restore damaged tissues, because sulfur is important in the production of collagen and the restoration of the structure of damaged tissues. MSM also plays an important role in reducing pain caused by inflammation, regulating fluid movement in tissues by keeping cell membranes flexible, which is important for reducing swelling.
  • Physical activity and exercise

Regular movement is an important part of taking care of the musculoskeletal system. Experts recommend regular exercise to keep the joints in good condition. Exercise strengthens the muscles around the joints, which provides greater protection and also increases blood flow to the joints. It is also recommended to practice exercises aimed at developing flexibility, which increases the range of motion of the joints. People with a sedentary lifestyle should not forget about regular sports activity.

If your joints hurt, forget high-level sports performance, prefer types of training with lower intensity, such as walking, yoga, pilates, swimming or cycling. Before exercising, of course, don't forget to do a proper warm-up and warm-up. It is an effective prevention of injuries, and at the same time, joints and tendons have a higher tendency to hurt if they are stiff, so it is necessary to warm them up and prepare them for sports.

  • Weight control

Being overweight can be really taxing on your joints. Keep in mind that each additional kilogram increases the load on the joints, especially in the area of the hips, knees and spine. Maintaining a healthy weight is therefore a way to maintain healthy and pain-free joints.

It is important to realize that our energy, vitality and ability to move depends to a large extent on the health of our joints. It is therefore important to keep them in the best possible condition, and this requires proper nutrition.
